• Is tri-fold the same as roll-fold, c-fold and letter fold?

  Tri-fold, roll-fold, c-fold, and letter fold essentially serve the same purpose. However, while tri-fold is restricted to utilising two vertical folds, allowing three portrait panels per side, roll-fold and letter folds can incorporate extra folds, resulting in four panels per side (8pp).

• What software can I use to design a tri-fold menu?

To prevent this issue, folded menus printed on materials with a weight of 250gsm or higher, undergo crease-folding to facilitate a smoother folding process and prevent fiber damage.

• What do you mean by crease fold?

  When folding thicker paper like 250gsm, the fibers at the edge of the flap can sometimes crack. In order to prevent this, any paper stock that is 250gsm or thicker is crease folded. Creasing weakens the paper at the fold to make it easier to fold.

• What is the difference between uncoated, gloss and silk paper?

  Uncoated paper has no additional finish, providing a natural and matt appearance with excellent writability. Gloss paper is coated with a shiny finish, enhancing vibrancy and sharpness of images but making it less suitable for writing. Silk paper falls between the two, offering a semi-matt finish that combines image quality with moderate writability.
