Cross Fold Leaflets from Cheap as Prints
Cross fold leaflets have eight individual panels allowing you to cram in more compelling content. The flat sheet is folded in both directions resulting in more printed pages (pp). For example, an 8pp A4 is an A2 sheet folded in half from top to bottom and then folded in half again creating eight pages of A4 (4 on each side). We offer three sizes of cross fold leaflets, each one identified by its unfolded area. A4 size is cross folded to A6, A3 size is cross folded to A5 and A2 size is cross folded to A4.

What is a cross fold leaflet?
Cross leaflets are generally folded in half and then folded in half again. The most common example of a cross folded leaflet is a map.
What paper thickness is recommended for cross fold leaflets?
That really depends on your requirements and budget. However, our most popular paper stock for cross fold leaflets is 130gsm and 170gsm silk stock.
Do I have to pay Vat on folded leaflets?
Most of the time folded leaflets are zero-rated, however, can be subject to VAT depending on the information supplied. If the design contains a message like ‘bring this leaflet in store to get 10% discount’ the print will be deemed to be a voucher and subject to Vat. Another circumstance whereby Vat is chargeable, is if the design contains a form.

How do you print your cross folded leaflets?
We use digital and lithographic printing techniques to offer both small and large run cross fold leaflets at the most competitive prices. Your design will be printed in full colour to one or both sides using a CMYK process.
What is CMYK?
CMYK is an acronym for cyan, magenta, yellow and black. These are the colours used in the printing process of your cross fold leaflets.
What do you mean by crease fold?
When folding thicker paper like 250gsm, the fibers at the edge of the flap can sometimes crack. In order to prevent this, any paper stock that is 250gsm or thicker is crease folded. Creasing weakens the paper at the fold to make it easier to fold.
What is uncoated paper stock?
Uncoated has no surface coating with a rougher texture that is suitable for writing on.
What is gloss paper stock?
Gloss paper is a smooth-coated stock that has a shiny surface and is brilliant for designs with vibrant colours, backgrounds and images.
What is silk paper stock?
Silk paper is a coated stock with a slight sheen. This allows the print to be vibrant and crisp but has a softer undertone than a high-shine gloss finish. This stock is also suitable to write on with a ballpoint pen.
