• What is foamex?

  Foamex is manufactured from extruded PVC sheets with a printable surface. The molecular structure of this material give it a flat, rigid and smooth surface. The flexibility of foamex means it can be fabricated into most shapes and still maintain its strength.

• What are foamex signs used for?

  Foam boards are perfect for any rigid display purpose. This could be for business promotions, POS, presentations, exhibition panels and general signage. Private applications could be for decorative purposes. This could include printing photos of your loved ones or custom art to display around the home or office.

• How are your foamex sign boards printed?

  Our foam signs are printed large format using eco-solvent inks. This inks offer greater colour depth, are water-proof and resistant to scratches. They also give off low odour which reduces the environmental impact of production.

• How do I choose the size for my foam boards?

  Our online foamex sign calculator is perfect for getting instant prices. Enter the height x width along with print options and quantities for prices. For most requirements our A5, A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0 foam board sizes suit most requirements.

• Do you offer laminated foam boards?

  Yes we do! Please see below all the finishing options for our foam boards:

  No Lamination
  If you choose the no lamination option, your print will keep its original texture.

  Gloss Lamination
  The gloss laminated finish will give your print an ultra-high glossy shine. As light bounces off the lamination, colours will appear brighter with more vibrancy.

  Matt Lamination
  The matt laminated finish gives the print a more smoother and subtle finish. It also creates muted colours as it can produce a lower contrast on darker tones. With zero shine it is better for artificially lit environments.

  Anti-Graffiti Lamination
  This special matt laminated film features an anti-graffiti coating for digital prints. It is recommended for signs that are to be displayed in busy outdoor public places.

  Anti-Scuff Lamination
  Finished in a textured effect the anti-scuff laminate prevents scratches and marks showing on the print. The matt finish also prevents unwanted finger prints to give a cleaner appearance.

  Dry Wipe Marker Lamination
  Specially coated with an ink and dirt repellent lamination that makes it wipeable. This unique laminate film leaves no ghosting effect and has a smooth gloss surface.

  Anti-Microbial Lamination
  This special matt lamination film has a protective coating that prevents the spread of harmful microbes.

  Weathershield Lamination
  All signs with or without lamination have an outdoor UV fade resistant life of 3 years. However, the weathershield matt lamination will prevent ink from fading for 5+years.

• What cutting options do you offer with your foam boards?

  Our foamex boards can be supplied square cut, radius cut (rounded corners) or custom radius cut (in to shapes of our choice).

• How do I display my 8ft x 4ft foam signs?

  The easiest way to display foam signs is to make holes in all 4 corners and affix using nails or screws. Alternatively, you can also insert metal hooks to hang the display above head height. Due to its lightweight structure you can also use Velcro or glue to stick on to a suitable surface. To increase the sturdiness of the sign you can mount the board to plywood or MDF. This will help protect the board maintain its shape.
